Week 4 (cont)

Another weekend has come and gone. On Saturday I participated in a very interesting 'social experiment' commonly known as the School Reunion! Anyone who has been involved in one of these knows what I mean! Ours was a 30 year get-together and was quite challenging. I felt that, as an adult, you very rarely find yourself in a room (150+) of middle (!) aged people with absolutely nothing in common. I found myself needing to draw on communication skills that are perhaps not interest based be it work, friends etc. There is usually a common thread. As adults, we can usually 'hold our own' in situations that involve initiating a conversation, that's a given, but how often do we really find ourselves in situations other than chit chat? It was an interesting evening and proves that nothing changes much. Any thoughts on this....?

Just a quick note on Library Thing. Interesting site. I am constantly surprised that so many people can read the same novel and get so many different opinions from the same book!

Well, back to work for me! Have a good week and I look forward to hearing what other people have been upto this week. Cheers!
